Count the working days between two dates, leaving out weekends and UAE public holidays. Useful for notice periods, deadlines, visa processing and leave planning.
How the count works
Both the start and end dates are counted. Days that fall on your weekend are removed, and so are UAE private sector public holidays when the box is ticked. A public holiday that falls on a weekend is only removed once.
The UAE federal government and most private companies have a Saturday and Sunday weekend since January 2022. Some companies still use Friday and Saturday, and Sharjah government entities work four days a week.

How many working days are in a UAE month?
Usually 20 to 23 with a Saturday and Sunday weekend, fewer in months with Eid or National Day.
Is the notice period counted in working days?
No. Notice periods under the UAE Labour Law are counted in calendar days, between 30 and 90 days as set in the contract.
